Biography
 
Gaetan was trained in photography at the Concordia University, after a college diploma in graphic communications in Montreal. His career started with a show at "Le Mois de La photo a Montreal", and went on to pursue his photo projects and to exhibit his work in Belgium, England, Hungary, Italy, and Spain.

Beside offering fine art prints in limited editions, his evocative and ethereal images are well suited for the book/CD jacket cover market.

His work was also reviewed by Penny Cousineau-Levine in her book "Faking Death" Canadian Art Photography and the Canadian Imagination. McGill-Queen's University Press, 2003. One of his image was included into the Bettmann's archive in 2003 as one of the "Betmann 100 photo contest" winner, along with the images of Marilyn Monroe! Gaétan Charbonneau won the first place, Black & White category contest, from the Photographer's Forum Magazine. One of his image was also featured in the PDN magazine of the November 2006 issue. "Over the last two years or so, my work was chosen for the book covers of cutting hedge authors such as: Åke Edwardson, Jonathan Franzen, Jo Nesbø, Anne Holt, Stephen Brijs, Amin Maalouf, Alain Badiou and John Farrow. It's truly fantastic to be associated with these high profile writers."
